Family and Friends
To
The Lee Page
(Bill, Inge, William, and Dugway)
Family pictures and news is what this page is all about.
It is designed to keep family and friends up-to-date on the
happenings here in Utah, present some old family pictures from time to
time, and take you on excursions we have had the opportunity to make.
We hope this page will also bring our family and friends a
little closer to us, by experiencing where we are, and
what we are doing.

On the September-to-December web page, you were shown the movie set where the television series "Gun Smoke" was produced. Also, there was a bike trip that Bill made to Antelope island, along with a link to Lake Powel in Southern Utah.
On this page, you can see a few of the pictures Bill and Inge took on their trip across the States. They left Utah on the 24th of September, and returned 10 November. Parts 1-3 are presented here, with selected pictures for you to view. They took over 400 pictures, some of which were left on the cutting room floor.
I'm not complaining, but there was one time when I was left home-alone to watch the house for a whole week. Boy, that was really scary. At least, I had one of Bill's old rotten socks to snuggle up to. I also had plenty of food, water, and three litter boxes to last until William, Junior got back from his week-long trip. He went to Bill Senior's 70th birthday party in Bristol, Virginia/Tennessee and returned before my food and water ran out. He and I got along great while the others were away, especially after he got rid of the litter boxes.

"After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him...
The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut."

Part 2 of trip, Bristol TN/VA. Bristol lies on the border, with half of the town in Tennessee and half in Virgina. It is famous for being the birthplace of Country Music with recording studios dating back to the twenties. It has a covered bridge near by with parks and rivers. Quilting is popular with the ladies and dates back to the early settlers. Click Here
Part 3 of trip, Helen, Georgia. After leaving the Bristol area, We traveled through Decatur, Alabama, and visited bill's sister in law, and nieces and nephew. We only took one picture in Decatur of Fred, and Martha, (bill's nephew and his wife)(see above) before we travled on to Helen, Georgia (see below). We were in the mood for German bread, and a little beer at the Oktober Fest. We were surprized to see how clean and well kept the little Alpine Town was. It had all the flavor of Alpine villages in Germany. Click on picture below. Click Here Helen, Georgia
On 18 Jan, 2003, Bill and Inge went to the "Hof Winter Festival" in Ogden. Hof is a city in Northern Bavaria, and is Ogden's "Sister City". They usually send a Band over here for the festival, with bratwurst, German beer, and lots of waltzes, polkas, and some rock. People got to eat, dance, and have a good time. The atmosphere was German, and children had as much fun as the adults. This year there were two bands that kept things lively. They played the bells (glockenspiel) and the Alp Horns, and did all sorts of skits with wild looking hats and wigs. It is always a fun night with people just enjoying themselves. Click Here
